THE GOLF ATHLETE

The Golf ATHLETE

“Enlightened coaches will accelerate their coaching outcomes by embracing the link that physical inability may lead to technical deficiencies. The Golf Athlete aims to support coaches, players and allied health staff who support this approach on a daily basis”.

The Golf Athlete (TGA) has a range of seminars from a few hours through to full one and two day specialist seminars - each of our courses have detailed course descriptions, which can be found either by navigating straight to the Course Outlines page on www.thegolfathlete.com.

The TGA Level I Seminar explores the integrated nature of sports science support for golfers with the focus on 3D biomechanics and swing analysis, physiotherapy screening and pathomechanics, and finally long term athletic development.

The TGA Level II Seminar explores the higher level integration between PGA Professionals and Allied Health staff.  The participants enjoy small group problem solving that is the cornerstone for the Level II seminar - see the seminar schedule on the TGA website for times when we will be in your area of the world.

GBD Assistant 1
GBD Assistant Opportunity

In early 2008 the first ever Golf BioDynamics Assistant, Brett Bridgman, joined our team here at The Jim McLean Golf School in Miami, Florida (USA). Each year GBD will look to offer the position to another young Australian Golf Professional who is dedicated to becoming a world class Teaching Professional.

It is a unique opportunity for young Australian Golf Professionals wishing to develop new skills and advance their careers with the focus squarely on golf instruction. The position combines certification in the Jim McLean Teaching System as well as developing expertise in the use of 3D technology for Swing Analysis, BioFeedback Training and exercise prescription alongside world expert in golf biomechanics, Robert Neal.

We would like to formally thank Brett, our first GBD Assistant from Brisbane, Australia who has done an exceptional job for both Golf BioDynamics and The Jim McLean Golf School. Brett leaves in March (2009) to further his passion for teaching. He is keen to take up a position in Spain (Madrid) at The Jim McLean Golf School.
