GBD Assistant Opportunity

It is a unique opportunity for young Australian Golf Professionals wishing to develop new skills and advance their careers with the focus squarely on golf instruction. The position combines certification in the Jim McLean Teaching System as well as developing expertise in the use of 3D technology for Swing Analysis, BioFeedback Training and exercise prescription alongside world expert in golf biomechanics, Robert Neal.

The program started in 2008 with the first Golf BioDynamics Assistant, Brett Bridgman.  Following in Brett's footsteps, the next Australian PGA professional to take up the position hailed from Royal Canberra Golf Club - Steve Keogh. Steve is now the Teaching Professional at Monash Country Club (Sydney, Australia) and is also continuing his education studying Sport Science and Personal Training. In 2010, Gavin Sutherland arrived from the Hunter Valley in NSW. During his time here at the Jim Mclean Golf School he has managed to work first hand with many top level amateurs and Tour Professionals the likes of Keegan Bradley, Alexis Thompson and Andres Romero as well as the German and Danish National Golf Teams.
For the 2012 season, Josh Longney originally from New Zealand joined the Team at Doral.  He completed his PGA training at the prestigious New South Wales Golf Club and Josh now works at Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

The 2013 season saw the arrival of Nate Dougherty and Mollie Boney.  Both Americans joining us for the busy season at Doral.  Nate is staying with us full-time and will join us for the 2013 season at Doral, while Mollie has returned to her summer position at The Weston Golf Club in Boston.
